You can browse the downloads directory if you want single files. To update to the latest version under Unix, use the update script.

You can checkout the current source code from sourceforge CVS and compile your binaries yourself.
Please keep in mind that the code is work-in-progress. Some parts are very ugly. Cleaning it up or doing low-level speed optimizations has not really become a priority yet, as I work on this alone and have limited time.
